This is one of the best drills to teach yourself how to move your lower body independently from your upper body. This will help loosen up the lower back and give you a great turn at address. This is one of my favorites.

I do the hip rotations daily, even in the off season. In my opinion, it is the best single exercise for increasing hip mobility and loosening up the lower back. For me it has been one of the most important exercises for lower back pain reduction.
